Pixel Art / Need help with palette
« on: January 04, 2016, 05:39:32 pm »
This is going to appear on the background of a big, but mostly empty piece. I need help with making the trees pop up more and I would appreciate any suggestions on how to create a better sea effect.

Pixel Art / [WIP][C+C] Goku on Nimbus
« on: January 03, 2016, 09:55:58 pm »

I've been at this for a couple of hours now. I didn't like it at first, but it's getting so cute I just can't stop working on it :D, nevertheless it's getting late on this part of the world and I tend to make more and more mistakes when sleepy so I'm gonna take a break for now.

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to make the Nimbus more puffy?

Pixel Art / Frank the Priest of Thor
« on: December 30, 2015, 11:27:08 am »
Another PC from my Planescape campaign, Frank the Priest of Thor.
I've studied the edits to the Gnome Thief and used less colors, put the light source in an obvious position, used unified outlines and got rid of anti aliasing completely for this one.

I also wanted to give a glow effect around the hammer and put an engraving on the breastplate but have no idea how to do the first one and I am too tired to bother with the second one right now but I wanted to put it out there. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to do a classic glowing magical weapon effect?

A quick Bulma portrait. I draw it with all the haste I could muster, still it took one and a half hour  >:(

A portrait of Goku  á la Fire Emblem. Chose him because of his crazy hair, thought it would help me master unjagged lines  :)

Pixel Art / Spidery Mage
« on: December 07, 2015, 07:08:16 am »
Hello people, found this incredible forum yesterday so yeah, I'm new  :)
I wanted to learn pixel art to make a graphic adventure game, so I've started training about four days ago and this is my second humanoid character ever. Inanimate objects come naturally to me but things that should be living are really hard to pixel, that's why I made this gif for practice and really looking for some pointers.

Hope you'll like it.
