Pixel Art / Anatomy?

i have never tried doing anything that is in the shape of a human, ever, but recently, due to boring religeous education lessons, ive been doodling alot of them, anyway, i drew one today which i was really impressed with, so i scanned it and pixelated a outline, before i start colouring, i would like some C&C on the anatomy and maybe some examples of how to correct, i need to do the hands properly, but i will do that with colour.

also, feel free to colour my line art :)

p.s is the head the wrong shape?

just another practise at picking colours. i hand pick them and use paint.



i wasnt sure how to shade the beak. (notice the big white area)

ive finsally got into my artistic flare. lost it for like a year and it done my head in. but im feeling all good atm.

i decided to visit punaji (im dave on ther) and go through the pixel scraps to find a line i could colour. and found one and started.

i dunno weather to finish it as so far this has taken about an hour (with msn not helping)

btw.. if people comment, can u not point out anatomy issues. as im jus following the line art. thx.

hi. i was looking through some of helms pieces and i saw one of a scene that i thought, "hey this style is cool" so i thought, as im a begginer, a good way to learn would be to try different types or stuff.

i used the pallette of the piece (sorry if im not allowed) (i wasnt sure wether c64 had a certain pallet)

anyway. i made a robot guy. its abit crazy and random... but i kinda like how it ended.

i made the line art myself. ill post that in a min.

right well i looked at xions and saw his process/stages and it was one id never seen before.. lol. and i tried it and i mustsay its much easier.

im really proud of this one.. iwill add a face once ive animated it abit.. and that will be after ive made it look better like with better highlights ect. butlook at the left hand!! imsoproud.. right hand needs work.

i tried again at a fightersprite.. i think the legs were actaully a succes on this one.. so i just need to do faces and arms abit better.
