Pixel Art / ** Mock-up screen needs critic! / [watercolour+pixel combination] **

 Hello, Pixelation :-*
I've just made the mock-up screen of game I've design(Rpg or maybe Adventure, I don't decide yet)
It'll be the combination of hand-drawn graphic, kind of watercolour and the pixel character. So I need some advice for my pixel character. Feel free to comment! Thanks~! ;D

Hello, here's my first post here.
Recently I've just create my own character. He's called Leaf. and he's also a normal green leaf! But I made him in Adobe Illustrator which is I familiar with.

Then I think about turning him into pixel work, so I try it. and man, the result is quite terrible!  :(

Compare to my illustrator, I think the body in pixel work should be smaller and make the head bigger. Also I think about apply more shade and colour to pixel, but I have no idea how to make it.
So, any suggestion is appreciate. Thanks~ :D
