I've been using gimp for a while, but there's gotta be something free and easy to use that's more suited for pixel art..

This is something I whipped up pretty fast.. I know that this sprite could be improved a lot, but I'm not exactly sure on how to improve it.

Looks nice! My only critique is that it needs shading and maybe a darker outline.
