Nitpicks, and lessened a colour.

If you want to keep brown hair, here are three possible colours you could use for it:

The shading's inaccurate. I was just trying to show how they would look in the sprite in general.

Took Rargh!’s advice and changed the eye slightly. But perhaps you could’ve taken as ‘the head was in a 1/4 profile’?

pkmays, I tried as hard as I could without making it look bad. I think I did it though, unless you meant something else.

Also, I added a different colour scheme, just deciding to get the colour scheme over and done with before continuing with the arms, which are giving me quite the trouble.

By the way, I've tried.

Edit:

Tried to finish one of the arms, although I don't know whether I did well. I took pkmays's advice for the skull; It looks a little better now, I think.

Thanks very much for the two edits.

Here’s an animation of my current progress. Yeah, there’s a lot of difference between my second and third picture. For progress, I tend to animate by sitting.

First is original, second is an edit based on Atum’s advice, and the third on pkmays’s advice. I’m having a little trouble with the arms, but I’m sure I’ll get it through. Feel free, and please, point out any mistakes you see.

Current image.

Hi there. I’m new ‘round here, and I would like some advice. This is just a generic punk.

9 colours, counting transparency.
