Pixel Art / Re: Stingray perspective help.

I'm not sure if the tilt of creatures will be noticeable in game...
If perspective will be only left and right, then you shouldn't care about walls, which are rather up/down perspective. But you can make this walls a bit lighter to get them from abyss.

Those circle patterns and palette are marvelous, but I think you can make this beam a bit thicker to make a central point of landscape. Also I was never sure about gradient in pixelart... Maybe it's just me, but I think it shouldn't be used in this type of art... But I'm just a newbie, so I'm probably wrong. :P

I think his knees can bend a little, it'll make him a bit more heavy-breathing. Also his left hand is a bit too curved in the most top frame. It almost makes a mirrored 'C' shape, and arms usually don't bend like this. :D

Yeah, the last one looks pretty good! The only thing i could suggest is to make chequered fragments of sky a bit wider. Also yellow stars look a bit too lighty, comparing to other ones.

I think you've got too much brown, dark brown, light brown and orange brown colors. I think you may need one a bit darker yellow and one intensive and rather dark red. Maybe one dark blue too? If you would like to do some monochromatic artworks, you'll probably very little amount of grey colours. I don't know, maybe I just use gray too many times. :D

Pixel Art / Re: A monster egg.

First of all, I can't decide if this egg is solid like normal hen egg, but painted blue and green or this is transparent, jelly- looking egg. I think you wanted to make second one because of embryo, but it don't look like this.

Maybe you should delete outlines inside egg and make one or two colors between green and blue? Probably making good lights and darker colors on one side of egg should help it.

But colors are really good I think. :D

Pixel Art / [CC] Pixelart Cards

Hello everyone, it's been a while since my last post, but nevermind.

I started making standard card deck with characters from Devolver Digital's games. I would like to hear your thoughts and something like this :D

And if you could be so kind and just tell me, what's wrong and what should I change ect. without your versions. They are depressing, when I see someone making the same thing better and faster than me :D

My first card was guy from "Downwell". There is only one card, where I show all body of character. I wanted to make a background reminding this one in game:

Second one is Baron Dashforth from "Foul Play" and I'm pretty proud of this one:

Third is Talos from "The Talos Principle" (with background based on "Sigils of Elohim") and yeah, it's diamond sword from Minecraft:

This is Ronin from... well... "Ronin" I wanted to show main mechanics of game: lights and projectiles:

The last one is Jacket from "Hotline Miami". I'm not satisfied with it at all. I tried to remind last scene from first game, when Jacket after killing boss, goes on a balcony and smoke a cigarette. I wanted to show smoke changing into blood and forming this symbol, but as I said, I don't like the results:

Here are my versions of numbers and letters:

Okay, you won. This one was my first one. Bunnylord from "NOT A HERO", but he is my great fail and I'm too lazy to make new. He doesn't count. Don't look at him, he's shy. One day. I will finish him.

So, what do you think about it? :D

Pixel Art / [CC] Medusa and her hair
« on: April 17, 2016, 05:13:39 pm »
I was making some greek mythology characters and monsters in kind of minimalistic design. I wanted to make it looking like drawings from vases, so this is effect:

Why there are 3 medusas? Because I don't know which hair is the best. Everyone has different opinion, so I would like to know Yours. Minotaur is for reference. CC is welcome.  :)
