You should try to give your pictures a little bit of shade. I've edited it very quick but you should get what i mean. Looks good for your first pixel art  :)

Thank you and I know what you mean. I just can't realise it in my own way. I came up with this and i really like it but it's just too close to the hyper light drifter reference i used. But i keep on trying to create something like this in my own style  :)

Pixel Art / Problem with cliff/rock Tiles

Hi guys,
so i'm developing a top down game at the moment and i'll try to create tiles for the environment now. I like the artstyle for now but i struggle with the rock/cliff tiles. They just look boring and don't fit the style very much. I looked at tons of reference images but i don't get it. Has anyone a tip or a special technique for how to create stone-like environtment. I don't know how i should do it with such a simple and limited style to fit  ???

Thank you, you're absolutely right. I've added a little head bobbing and changed the legs a bit so he doesn't run like a horse anymore  :lol: I think the running looks way better now but the flames..oh my god. It's impossible  ??? Maybe it looks a bit better than before but it's not even close to look like fire  :-X

Hey guys,
i just finished the scratch of my new characters walk animation. It's going to be a character for a video game so other animations will follow. What do you think about it? Any tips to improve it? I don't like the flames yet..i'm not very good at hair animation or something like this. Cheers  :y:
