I'm working on a project that's a rts/td style game. Initially was html 5 with a 16 bit feel, but due to free unity and aesthetics moving to 3d. 2 races with 6 towers each and maptiles. Looking for a voxelly theme. I want to keep the 16 bit aesthetic but 3d-ified with dynamic lighting. Maybe little cruder resolution than psx, but along those lines.

Unpaid Work / rts/td style game 16 bit style

Looking for an artist for a game I'm working on. I was using some rpg type tiles from opengameart but the towers and background were (unfortunately) hand drawn by me. They just didn't fit together and the whole result lacked a coherent theme. I would like to have it done with a limited palette to enforce the retro vibe.

The scope of the project is roughly 12 character tilesets(4 way movement) 10 towers with 3 upgrades each, title screen and background tiles.

 I plan on launching the game as a free webgame (flash) and then god willing kickstarter to get licences to port to ios/android.

Compensation would be zip for now, with the likelihood of profit-sharing for the mobile versions. Reply via PM, in thread, or email. I would like to see some prototypes before a final selection is made.
