These are pretty cool, very rustic yet bubbly. Nice. :)

Pixel Art / I Need Help With This Piece (Woman w/ Hijab)
« on: February 22, 2016, 06:18:11 pm »
I'm back on the site after years, it looks beautiful now, very nice theme.

Anyway, I'm trying to replicate an avatar I saw. It was a woman wearing a hijab. I'm trying to make this very symmetrical. I'm struggling on the eyes though. All I need is the outline for the eye and possibly the pupil and I'll be able to finish it!

Here is what I have done so far:

Here is what I'm trying to replicate in pixel art form:

If you have some suggestions instead of physical changes to my image that is still appreciated, thank you!

I've merged your latest post to your previous one. Please, no double posting.

What little you have here looks nice, but I think if you want any truly helpful commentary, you should show us mock ups of a complete game screen and how these sprites would interact with backgrounds and UI elements.

Right now there's simply not enough information in these to give in depth commentary.

I don't know what else to add for now, and I can't find a good enough font for the username. :/

I did this one without color but I still think it looks awesome!

More mockups.

That's a great idea! I'm gonna get working on a coffee character right now.

As for the coloring, I'm not the best at it but here.  :)

Thank you for the feedback. I kinda like what I've done, I wish I could have made a triangle character look good but I couldn't so I decided to do this instead.

Here's a GIF of a health and mana bar.

A little while ago I made something similar to this, but I've changed it quite a lot now and this is the result. I'm hoping to make a very simple MMOG out of these characters. A reason why I like them so much is because anyone can choose a character and make their own face on the template, that's a feature I hope to be included in the game. For now I need some opinions on the art and if you'd like to edit them or create more facial expressions then please do!

There are four different types of characters. The small one, the tall one, the one with legs, and the giant one. The rest are the small one with different types of mouths and eyes.

Here's a simple blink animation I put together.

Please give me some feedback!  ;D

Pixel Art / Re: Stone brick texture WIP

I like this! I don't see any problem with it  :y:
Aside from the darker brick, which I don't know if I should read as a differently colored brick or as a hole...
(and make sure it looks nice when there are many of them next to each other )
But in any case, this is more than enough quality for a Minecraft texture, I think (this is better than 99% of the textures out there)
If I were you, I'd start working on different ones (assuming you want to do the whole texture set), considering there are probably more than a hundred textures in the game

If you make any more, please post them as well; I'd like to see them! ;)

Thank you so much!

I'm going to touch this texture up a bit and then post it on MC forums to see if anyone is interested in seeing it in a texture pack. =)

When Minecraft was in beta I first did some pixel art, I was really bad. I'm coming back to it now, but all I really know how to do is textures. Is there any way I could improve this other than colour choices but keeping it fairly minimal?
