Thanks for the c+c, both of you.

Worked a bit more on it, and this is what I have so far.

Changed the colors of the mountains to blend in more with the sky. Also changed the red on the knight and the green on the "grass".

The "grass" is actually suppose to be tree tops (the knight is basically a giant). Will have to work some more on them and try to get them more tree-ich.

Ah I see what you people mean. Thus I have reworked it and it's now smaller.

I'm working on a teardrop ship. It's my biggest piece so far but I have problem with the shading.

I would appreciate some critics and tips and tricks on how to improve it.

yours - mine

I tried to make a ninja sprite in the style of monkey island 1 (added guybrush for reference. First ninja uses colors from guybrush, second sprite uses own colors). I'm not sure if it's like what you intended, but if, then:

* use reference from game to capture style
* use reference to make a believable character
* use contrasty colors to sculpt form/volumes
* don't use dark colors on white background. It kills all the contrast in your sprite.

Awesome. I will redo tonight and I shall keep your tips in my mind.

I tried to do a ninja in the style of point and click adventure games. Like Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and the faith of Atlantis and so on. But I'm not so happy with the outcome and can need some help with improving it.

Thank you.
