Pixel Art / Critique requested on RPG tile set

Hi dudes
I am working on a small action RPG with a friend.
My goal is to make the graphics simple, readable, and imply a simple, honest geometry. We want the game to feel cosy and have character.
I am not particularly good with colour, and I am aware that the palette is currently too desaturated.
Is there any other criticism that comes to mind? do you find the scene to be readable? are there confusing elements? anything else?
any advice and critique will be greatly appreciated, thanks!
