Well to really emulate the Gameboy graphics, you need to make levels out of 8x8 pixel tiles.  I believe even large images like your start screen were divided into 8x8 tiles.  I think this has an effect on how tall and wide objects like that car would be, since you'd want to make sure to completely fill all of the tiles the car is made of.

Yea the lightbulb was me just messing around copying a picture I found >.>  I wasn't really intending on perfect circles or shading at that point. i've been using paint, and it's obnoxious to try and get colors on there.

I did do a little artwork though..

I like the composition in that one.

They kinda look like a horse/bear/gorilla.  I can't remember the last time I saw a real buffalo, though.

I think the hind legs need some more work.  You need to smooth the animation a bit on the left hind leg.  And like you said, the left and right hind legs are not easy to distinguish.

I think the handle of the sword is too shiny.  It has the same texture as the blade.  That suggests that the grip is slippery or smooth when it should be rough.

Right now his cape looks pleated.  Is that what you were going for?

You might want to rework it by figuring out where his arm is under the cape and draping the cape around his arm.  Put creases where he's gripping the cape.

I've added a new color to the visor and started on a walking animation.  I'll try to finish the animation.

I worked on the contrast a bit.
