I played guitar a while back.  The most important thing to learn is to start with good technique.  Because if you pick up bad habits, you may never be able to retrain yourself.  Use your pinky finger as much as you can to hold down strings on the fret, don't get lazy with that finger.

Stwelin... I'm in the States.. and I've never seen the legal age limit stand in the way of anyone 'celebrating'.

As far as resolutions, I'm not against them.. I just know better than to commit myself to something that I thought was a good idea in January.

I really like the shading on this guy (besides the unfinished arm, of course), especially the shading on the folds of the shirt.  I have to say the shorts are bothering me, they don't seam to have as much attention on their shape and drape as the shirt does.

Otherwise he has tons of character.

Thanks for the replies.  I've got one nay, one yay, and one either a artistic suggestion, or a desire to physically assault my artwork (I'll try putting in some black eyes, see how it plays).  I guess I was mostly going for style, most of what I've done has been lacking in it.  Don't go easy on me though, I am looking to improve (esp you, Ryona.. I've noticed you seem to be especially nice to the newbs. Bring it on.)

Okay, my first thing to C&C.  I should've been working on my avatar, but after pixeling it I was burned out on it.

So, this is my alien guy.  I think my AA is a bit sloppy, need more practice.  Let me know what you all think.

Hey, just want to introduce myself as a long-time lurker.  I've been scoping out pixelation in an almost stalker like fashion since it was over a swoo.net.  I'm one of those old guys (28) who wanted to do art back in the day, but was distracted by other things life had in store for me.

I'm gonna throw my hat in the ring, starting with my fad-av.  Sadly it took me most of the day to get this thing to look something like me.



You all do awesome work here.  I'm esp. interested in the C64 stuff, I've been spending a bit of time digging my c64 stuff out of the closet, I may have try out a piece on that sometime.
