I think it could possibly do with less colors overall, but still, it's good material there.

i dont know, the conservation is pretty good already, though id love to see you mix a little bit of the metal colors into the glass and the glass into the metal so that it appears to reflect the hues of the environment

just a thought
A mistake is a mistake.
The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.

Thanks both of you. That is a very good point you made, Adarias, and think I just may do that. :y:

I got rid of the second darkest value, and replaced it with the black that you had.
I think you're mudding everything just a little bit, ruining the detail that you could have.
so pretty much I added a little contrast to everything, like adding more light, and adding more depth to some of the lines.

And you gave it feet.

that too, but they are just place holders really, I put them there because the other legs... idk, they aren't doing it either way.

just to chip in on some good advice, I think the grays in the glass muddy and confuse things, but the blues added to the metal areas around it are really sharp and simulate caustics really nicely - they help unify the piece without making it any muddier.  I like Zach's higher contrast version as well!

Thanks everyone! I really appreciate all the c+c and feedback! I am definitely going to mess with all that jazz, with the exception of the feet, as I still like the way I designed them :P.

This would probably be really complicated to implement, but I think it would look really cool if the refection of the glass moved as the character moved...?
