Waterrific: animating water

on: July 11, 2015, 07:25:34 pm
Hear ye, hear ye!

Guess what? More water!

This is to replace the static water of my game.

This is what I have so far. Keep in mind that this is for a game that looks like this:

So something ultra-realistic isn't necessarily the best choice (which I've learned from the splashing animation).

If that is supose to be the basic water animation i recomend it to be more subtle or it will become anoying really fast.

While true, that can be solved by creation a bunch of these animations, so it doesn't tile as bad. Usually, fast moving water annoys by not tiling well.

yep, it moving a lot isnt a problem in and of itself, but maybe the speed would be.

if done correctly it can work fine

I'd ask that you show it to us tiled so we (and  you) can judge.Better if it is in mockup

Um hey guys...I'm new to this site and I'm currently developing a 2d pixel art platformer. I wanted to post a picture of my character hoping that some of you guys could help me with how to animate his Fighting Stance and Running. But unfortunately i dont know how to post an image...can you explain to me how?

In the initial animation forum page there is a button in the top right for the animating section.  The button is titled new topic, clikc it and create your new topic.  The image will have to be uploaded on another site and you can click the little mona lisa in the section of options for text then paste your image link there.  This should all be in the explanation post up top.
I dont get it done, but when i do its not done.

He puts it in the "[.img][/img.]"  (ignore the periods) code offered at the top like i said with the little mona lisa image.
