If she was made of light, her light would be reflecting all over the surrounding surface.
The intensity of these reflections are based on the the surface of the material.
Metal is high gloss and reflects light nearly perfectly.
Stone is less gloss and a more diffuse surface.
Such reflections are blurred and dull.
Light on stone is very soft.

But this will be harder to animate (and doesn't read well)
So maybe just shift what should be black to the color of the reflected metal?

I love the background sky in the title screen. <3

You can add variety with the text by enlarging the first and last letter in a title:

I'm not a fan of the glow around the text, but that's a matter of personal preference really.

"Press The Start Button" looks not hand-pixel-crafted... which is fine, but it makes it seem very inconsistent with the rest of the artwork.

It will be 'usable'. But it can be better.
Is this the perspective you're going for, sydneylad?

I put him in Guerrilla War on NES to test if he's usable.
But it's not readable if Helm sees it as side view and I as over the shoulder.

Wouldn't a Top Down perspective make the front face of a cube longer instead of shorter?

Top Down is an exaggerated distortion and not realistic to the eye.
But its use is that Top Down can show details on the front face that would be "squished" in a Parallel perspective.

You could simplify in this area to help better define it.

If you were to draw this from the other angle, what would it look like? This exercise will give you a better idea of what's actually going on right there rather than just kinda winging it.
