Pixel Art / Re: Mental Diarrhea *Update: 06/26/06*

Well these are stunning, but to avoid this being a total appraisal thread i shall give you some crits.  I dont really like the gourmand's shadow, perhaps shape it more to his body and pose.  I also adore the pig flamethrower guy, but perhaps a bit more detail on the flames?  Perhaps try and distinguish Party? guys short more from his skin... they seem to blend together a lot.  I think the "not a cliche" deathe reaper could look particularly awesome with a colored orb and ambient lighting (or perhaps a small animation where his orb lights up).  On MUMU there are 3/4 2x2 dark blue squares on his legs.  These squares look good for texturing on the body, but the legs are a lot brighter and therefore they seem a bit out of place.  On Mumu's right eye i also think there is too much eyeball-white showing.  I could go on for hours just nitpicking tiny things that would hardly change the overall stunning appearance of these, but i wont.  Great work!

i think he means add a 1024x768 background with this as the centrepiece.  Would love to use this as a desktop bg.  KUTGW

I study astronomy, and the colors werent added after.  The hue shifts occur due to various substances separarting white light into the spectrum and only showing the dominant colors.  The colors we see are down to the human eye.  The colors created in space can also be caused by magnetism from the van allen belts - also known as Aurora (northern and southern lights).  You can view these even from earth without a telescope.  Trying to pixel these nebulae and aurorae would be quite fun - think of the pallettes.   :P

@ Taka - are you using apple mac?  I tried on my mac, you have to open safari in rosetta mode and install yhe shockwave plugin.  If your using a Pc i suggest try updating your shockwave plugin.

I did make a cool seen by painting the wall black and just using the cloth to make a scene, that was fun.... but i forgot to screenshot.

I think Riva (if you can track him down), and Wolverine would make good interviews.  Perhaps also -DE-.

Does anyone actually read the forum rules??  I have never read any rules, term & conditions, User policy, legal agreement and all that jazz on the internet.. ever.  Why dont you just code the forum so it blocks swear words with '*'.  That will save you a lot of moderation.

@ Alex - I have never seen anyone act like that towards a set of rules before, lighten up dude if you dont want to follow them, dont post there.

@ Helm - 6 more posts in 4 hours and you will have 666 posts on the devils day  :o
