Two things: Eyes are very square and the bottom edge of the chin is too wide, giving it a square appearance. Try to slim it a bit, and reshape the eyes some!

Crotch is dangling a bit too low, I'd say. when fully extended the elbow should touch home right as the waist starts.

I'd say number 2, looks snappier. It still has that feeling of an incomplete movement though, like the swing's not gone all the way it needs to.

The anatomy looks pretty stylized and nonhuman so there's really not much I can critique here.
I'd say use the turnaround of Winston from overwatch though, you seem to be going for a vaguely gorrila-esque look for this character so it might be worthwhile to check him out as a visual aid.
The shading on the abdomen makes his chest look concave, try to soften that some! And also look into fixing the light source, your shading is kind of all over the place here! Set up a circle and use that as a guide for where the light would fall.

Here, a few ideas. Remember, one of the colors isn't a real color but a transparency! Try to keep that in mind when drawing!

@rydin there's actually a lot of crustier-looking mushrooms, like these beauties here:


Given that, I'd say the texturing is fine as it is, perfectly accurate to real life.

That light source is a good spot though, the light really should be hitting more from the right from how it's affecting the bark!
Another thing I just noticed is that the grass seems to be clipping weird over the stem of the mushroom, with the base further back and the tip in front of it with little done to imply depth in that blade of grass. Might help to look at that a bit!

No, more like this. i reduced the contrast so it has a less greasy, slicked appearance and removed an un-needed extra shade on the highlights.
Skin can be reflective but usually it's kind of a dull material.
