Immediately recognisable. And up close, good handling of pixel shapes. Congrats. The palette could use some normalization on the low end (not enough shades) but it's not mandatory. The rest of the likeness is hiding in the non-central lightsource. Time to stop mirroring?

Palette normalization? But people on /IC/ told me to use less colors. But I guess you are right, although my art tends to have less darker shades.

What about the hair? I have trouble with it, and no matter what I do it still looks bad.
I made his forehead a little larger and brought his eye slightly together.
