I take forever to draw because I want it perfect, of course nothing is perfect. I wish I didn't have to be so articulate of my work. So far i have done the head for a few hours and still thinking how to do the body. Any suggestions?

Ok, it got potential, here are some quick and painless advices.
*Clean your line art (no chunky pixels, close gaps in hair)
*Get rid of black lines, use colored one instead
*Try to ramp up the contrast a little
