I did a quick and nasty edit off your sprite.



The two main things I did, was alter his face a little. I changed around the shadowing and the placement of the mouth to try to make him look more serious. And I made is feet thicker, to me they just looked so puny. Obviously it's intentional on some level. I just think it looks better with thicker feet on this guy. The other stuff is mainly me fooling around. The cape, can it be more overdone?  :crazy: I also added bandages (though I dunno if it shows) on both his upper arms, added some red stuff on the armor. Added a shine on the blade.

EDIT// Couldn't resist fiddling around with your character even more :)



Noticed just now that you either need to change the ear antennae or remove it completely. It lines up with the swords edge too much.

Thanks guys. I see what you mean with the colors. So I tried fiddling with them a little. Here's the result. Tell me what you think.  :)



EDIT// Noticed the highilghts on the pants was a little too bright. Also foxed some stray white pixels.

The tiles and the phone booth is for my game I'm working on. The guy sprite was just for fun. I was kinda going for a Monkey Island/LucasArts style for it, so I'm glad it looks that way.  :)

I've made some grass tiles. Also made a phone booth and put it in there.


Just made a sprite of a friend. It came out looking very similar.

The wings were supposed to be there from the start, I just messed up with the sketch and saved over the big one that was 'finished', so the wings stay.  :)

I've messed around futher with the colors/contrast, added new wings and a new tail. I've ditched the fin idea. The coloring will probably be redone later on to be more from the above (read Skullkrakens tutorial about it a few days ago). Also added sweatbands on his wrist, just to test it.

I have the luxury of my school providing us students with 256mb peronal webspace on an https server.

The most common webhost I see people using is Rapidshare
I've dl'ed a lot of stuff from there, and it's a quite stable host. Though you can't use stuff like DAP when you dl files.

I added another shade on blue. Now there's 5 shades of blue in the pic. But since he primarily consists of blue I don't think it's a big issue.
I'll fiddle around with the contrast a bit, thought I haven't in this pic (except the added shade).


I'd like some thoughts about the arms, more precisely the wrists. There's a lack of detail around there which I don't like, but I am seemingly unable to add stuff there without it getting clogged instead of detailed.
A friend also commented on the arms looking a little bubbly, like the muscles are to short. She thinks the placement looks good, but they look too short. What do you guys think?
