Looks awesome, and I like that idea of running on all fours sometimes. To me the ears seem much too big in the forward-facing view, compared to how they look in the side view. I'd cut them back a pixel or two.

I first saw the image with two other people, on the same monitor. They saw it as white and gold, and I saw it as blue and black. We all saw it very clearly, and could not imagine the other seeing the color.

Then I later showed one of them a picture of the actual dress (the roman royal blue one on amazon) and after that she could only see the blue and black so clearly, she thought it couldn't be the same issue. The other guy's view of it did not change.

After reading about it and seeing it more, I still see blue, but I see it as a very washed out picture. I can easily see the gold they are talking about.

Something about the subconscious thoughts on different light contexts. The picture is garbage as far as colors, so you must subconsciously make a decision about what to 'correct' to get the true colors of the object photographed, correcting for the quality/over-exposure.

I feel like you should try to 'suggest' the texture of the chainmail without drawing every little square. And maybe vary the shape of the squares, if you're going to draw all of them.

I think the reason you are having difficulty shading is because you don't know quite what your forms are doing/would be doing in 3d space. The problem is more underlying than just shading. I suggest looking up a lot of references of minotaurs and see how the forms look and how they are constructed.

My edit is just an outline of what direction it could go.

I've never participated, but I think the likes/dislikes are what really makes this great. It is not as intimate as a 'gift' if it is just a general pixel painting for anyone. Impose harsher punishments, maybe.

The arm animation doesn't look quite right because in a walk cycle the shoulders moves also because of the rotation of the torso.



In this reference image her back is obscured by the shoulder itself as it moves, and then as it moves away (as the torso rotates) more of the back is visible.

Are some of those objects the enchanted versions?-- judging by the bright blue shine.

And idk; it seems more awkward to do these at an angle rather than vertical. Seems like you wouldn't be able to fit as much detail in. But, I'm not an artist, and yours do look less sterile and 'schematic' than the originals.

Ah, the ambiguous 'pack'. Your version is brilliant, though it looks a bit like how I remember the 'purse' to look.

Also, I love your version of the title characters! The edit isn't an improvement, imo.
Are you planning on recreating all the images? And if so will it be somehow playable?  :crazy:
