its the upper leg piece of a remake of Mother Brain from Super Metroid that i've been working on
tho i havent been able to finish because of the issue with metal
i've been trying to keep it similar is color to what i have, but get it actually metal-looking

not going so well lol

im messed around with some things that im not entirely comfortable with doing because of how little practice i've had doing them!

dithering and shading metal
i used WAAAAAAY too many colors for the metal... but yeah OTHER then that...



also i think the outline on the dithered ball is junk

If you see the name anywhere, it's probably me
I've been making sprites for a few years, though i still have yet to really decide on a style
I'm also a programmer, in college
I like doing sprites for various projects
so uh, yeah, I'll probably mostly C+C and look at the job posts here, other then general, of course

other then whats already been mentioned the only thing i can pick out is that you cant really see the mouth, so its kinda hard to really get a read of the expression being made
which, in my opinion, is important for a character to be able to get a feel of who they're supposed to be

having the head move in only the one frame looks a bit off to me
might just be me tho

also he looks kinda depressed, just sayin
