Yeah, the nearest mountain on the left looks a little odd, but you can probably get away with it.
The one on the right has a similar problem to the central object, but it's also stealing focus from the central object and IMO needs to be redesigned- dark areas need to lead the eye back into the picture, not out.
The chisel-shaped block of blue near top left is a compositional problem imo. Fading the diagonal bit of cloud as it goes down might improve it and leave a logical place for that blue to 'escape'.
I'm not sure what scale the focal object is supposed to have, though based on the person, this is how I would change it:
and the reason why I would do that is because large objects tend to pick up the sky color on their upward facing ..faces. I also did the reverse (radiosity -- in this case picking up color from the sand). To me, this (very quick) change appears to place the object more firmly in the surroundings. This might make the shadow seem a bit weak
I made another quick edit (with liberal use of blur, and fading out sky in corners of image) to attempt to improve composition and focus. IMO I largely succeeded but the result might be perceived as brutal, cause I'm actively throwing away detail.
Link. There is still stuff that's overdefined -- those individual bits of sand really wouldn't be that discrete at that distance, for example.
One final point is that the central element has a colorless shadow, but it should probably be blueish, since lightsource is yellowish. A quick brushover to this effect looks like a clear improvement to me.

If you insist on being pessimistic about your own abilities, consider also being pessimistic about the accuracy of that pessimistic judgement.
