First attempt at pixel art

I made this to use it as an avatar, its my first go at making pixel art thats actually of something not just text or abstract colour stuff.

any tips or critiques are welcome.

it's a giraffe O.o Looks like an elephant to me Your outline is actually quite clean, you just need to work on shading and color picking. I'll make an edit if I find time Nice start btw!

Consequently from the fact that slym lacks the required time to generate a proper modification of the image, I have made one in his absence. I believe the outline is superb and the only transformation I have applied is to fray the end of the ear by a smidgen. For the shading, what you want to do is to spot out basic forms such as spheres and cylinders and shade accordingly.
