I think I'm nearly finished with it. I added a light pink to shade the tan. Any critique is appreciated. Thank you!

(Sorry for the double post, but I don't think people knew I was still editing my original and so it sort of went too far in the backlog)

Sometimes when working with small stylized sprites, less is more to avoid noisiness.

I hue shifted the color palette, then used the dark orange from the horns for scales. That way whoever sees it will know it's scales without the noise. You could also make a very small scale with a lightsource AND a shadow and multiply them all over. A good start!

Will the game window be this small? I'd suggest hue shifting the colors for easier readability. Right now your palette is too much of the same hue of green.

Your tree and tent have opposite light sources which makes it look unnatural since there's probably only one light source (the sun). Your tree design is quite nice. I'd suggest adding some shadows on the trunk under the leaves. One last thing I'd look at is the folds on your tent. A good start! ;D

Pretty good start. Your shade and highlight colors are too close to the base color that it's hard to see them.

The base sprite looks fine. I guess when clothes were added without any shading it elongated the torso too much making it look unnatural

Hey thanks for the help. (especially about the rounding of the tips). The statue is inside a mansion and the blue is the wallpaper color inside. I was thinking of making it grey, but if I did the color palette for the interior would be too blue/purple and I wanted to keep a yellow-ish color as an accent. So I was thinking it could be a statue made out of gold? But I'm still not sure.

edit:

Added another darker red. I'm stuck now on how to shade the legs/tail since continuing the pattern makes it look not so great.
edit 2:

Actually continuing the pattern doesn't look so bad

So this is supposed to be a dragon cat statue that will later have water coming out of its mouth and a water basin at the feet. But so far what I have just doesn't feel right, shading wise. It doesn't look like a statue. Any critique is much appreciated. Thank you!  :)

Pretty good improvements. Quick pet peeve though most people get wrong is that boobs go down, not to the side.

Good luck!

The top part of the dog looks great. There is a slight anatomy error on the bottom half probably due to the image limits. I would suggest pushing the feet closer together. Also a tail wouldnt be visible since the head would cover it up irl.
