Thanks for the info, all of this helps a lot. Time to dig up GrafX2..

It seems here as if you just used that thing they call "selective outlining", basically using a slightly lighter outline for slightly lighter shades, which usually doesn't look very good with so many colors.
Any suggestions to make that come across in the piece, maybe if the artifacts were a bit brighter?
