sorry not to lend anything else helpful, but how is this low-spec art?
and by briefly looking at your picture, I see a lot of potential alongside lots and lots of pillowshading! don't use pilloawshading. it looks bad. Pick a light source.
also some of the positions this person is in are impossible. Reality check.
I'd help more but I'm busy atm; I just think this should be in Pixel Art, not low-spec

omg. how am I the only one to epic like this? What kind of paper was this on? and if you just used markers... I'm going to kill myself. because I'd need to shit rainbows to draw that well
all this marker artwork makes me want to start with markers... I have a problem as an artist with different mediums.
I always try to achieve a look struggling with a medium rather than working with the materials and working with the look it provides. I can work a pencil pretty well, but that's about it... I struggle with paints. 
you guys always inspire me, though. dammit I'm going to start arting again.

nope. never happened to me. I'm running 1.93 too.. did you recently change operating systems or computers or something? It might have spazzed out on me in the past but it's never been a consistent problem. Try re-installing, they let you do that as much as you want.
Also I think there's an update you have to reinstall to get available.

yeah, it's basically like an inverted steel drum with a bottom; you can play it with stick-like things too but seems more fun with your hands. I wish there was a cheap way to get a high-quality one...

I love this. 
but since you know what you're doing, let's move from ass-pat to crits.
First thing I notice is that the teeth stick out too much. obviously you intended them to be important, but they seem to be independent to the rest of the monster. they're all equally white when aesthetically the back teeth should be a little darker.
I think the wrinkles around the mouth could be a little more natural. They look raised and strange, not like wrinkles, unless that's what you intended. Some simple definition on the inside of the mouth might help lots, as it's too black now. a few darker shades used sparingly would help as well. Simple edit:
I'd edit the whole thing along these lines but I can't now.
EDIT:
Oh yeah, and the neck/body should be farther back on the head, if it's supposed to work like a normal neck. Maybe make it more curvy too?

Holy cupcakes, you guys are still around. I've abandoned you all. I'm sorry. I almost forgot my pixelation! I need to get back into pixeling... but I'm 14 now and life has been getting in the way of the glorious pixels. Maybe I'll actually be better at it now that I'm older. my traditional art time has dwindled too.
