You've probably seen Arachne's great write-up with some good workflow for tiles.
But yeah it would be good to build on that with examples of common problems and solutions to save ppl finding out the hard way.

did you draw the tree first then the leaves or the other way around?  :-\ because when I draw a tree is do it the other way it sounds dumb but I just wanted to know

hey the tree isn't finished but all that's left is the pixel-level cleanup. I may add some ambient light but depends on other elements in the world so I'm procrastinating finalizing it.

Loving the style of the tree but I'm not trying to be a push over  :-[ but I kinda find the lighting odd like the whole tree should be light http://www.lughertexture.com/vegetation-plants-textures/trees-png-with-alpha-transparency/hackberry-tree-png-texture-with-alpha-channel it's an example of what I mean but don't get me wrong I love the tree
