Yeah, I think I'll leave the orange there for now.

OK, I made some changes to the jester's head, so now it's less malformed. Still working on the face. He looks so peeved :D

witch face edit. Sure you want to go with something so cuddly? Great art otherwise, though I agree with some dithering on a stylistic level.

Ooh, good point. She looked creepier in the sketch I started out with. I tried to get her to look more maniacal, but didn't really succeed. I'll give it another go :)

I think I'm done with his face now.

How about this? :) Not quite sure about the background yet. I want to give a hint at the setting with some shelves of books, bottles, jars of eye of newt or what have you, but I don't want to draw attention away from the characters with too much clutter, either.

Use the single darkest color to make the background detail with little or no highlights if you want it to be there without attacting much attention. I don't think your with mouth edit is very succesful, personally.

Ridiculous' manboobs look a bit too firm... it's kinda disturbing. Especially his left one.
I still think Madam Drew's fingers are too long, but seeing that I'm the only one mentioning it, maybe it's just me?

I'm going to have to disagree with Helm. I think the mouth does a good job of showing that she has really bad teeth.
I think MDrew's frown looks much better in Helm's edit.

Just dropping by to say how awesome this is! Great usage of palette, depiction of anatomy and cloth, and lighting!
You should probably keep the witch's face closer to Helm's brilliant edit. It's clear what you're trying to do with her teeth, but somehow it doesn't work too well. The jester is giving me nightmares... something about that top he's wearing is just disturbing :)
The way you're placing the books, combined with the rest of the composition, will draw too much attention to them i think, since they will be occupying 50% of visual space... maybe put them at level with the witch's head, and make them take about half the size you have right now.
Looking forward to see further progress!

P.S.: 354x267 pixels? Is that like 320x240 with borders for help with composition, or what? :)

Alright, edited the jester's boobs and the madam's face to bring it closer to what Helm suggested. :) Do you think I should add any more to the background, or is the empty space OK?

Another shelf or something on the left would help balance this piece.

It's looking really nice.  ;D

I added a window for balance. I hope the perspective is OK. If there's nothing else that needs fixing, I think it's pretty much done now. :D

It's coincidental. :) I wanted to do some character portraits, but decided that I could just as well make a bigger piece out of it.
