That's nice and all purpose. But wouldn't a binder and paper bought separately, capable of handling all those mediums, be cheaper and as useful? Plus, reusability (both of the cover and of the paper used inside).
It's becoming a trend with some people i know, which tend to be people who buy things to be trendy, not necessarily because they really need them. Like the guy who dislikes games but just bought a state of the art graphics card (tested it for 5 minutes with one of the latest Tomb Raiders, and then turned it off), or the one that bought one of those digital cameras with exchageable lenses because "he wants to be an artist" (last month he was going to learn dj'ing, and the month prior he was going to do an oil painting of a white square on black background. Of course none of those came to be).
But if it's something that really fulfills one's needs, i'd say the money's completely justifiable! (edit) all i'm advocating is intelligent buying.
