My own Character..again

Well this my own character. The 1st one is incomplete but the second is. I call him Giovanni Vera. The second is supposed to be JUS Style C&C appreciated

Hello. What is 'JUS style'?

Turn this sprite in just a black color silhouette against white and tell me if you can understand what the hand is doing and what it is holding. I know it's a gun from context, but it shouldn't be obstructed, I'd say.

Unless he just fired that gun, i think that the gun should either be:

- Vertical, slightly leaning to the back.

or

- Have the gun rest on the shoulder, barrel pointing back.

Right now it looks kinda awkward, like he's scratching the back of his head or something.
