Portrait C&C

on: December 03, 2012, 07:14:55 am
So I drew a portrait of someone I watch on twitch tv a lot for practice and I would like to know how I can improve
This is my first portrait drawing and I tried to use dithering, which I know really like

Dithering is pretty fun.
The overall shape is good, the only suggestion I would give is try to get a bit more color depth in there to make it look less flat. If you want to stick to few colors maybe give the skin tones a bit more contrast. As it is its hard to tell that there are even two colors on the face.

I think the dithering with the facial hair is a bit wrong. I think it should be more irregular.
