oh I see.. This is going to be a great learning experience I'm feeling ;D I appreciate your input.

EDIT: Well, I've gone to greyscale for now, just to get the shading down, the original palette will be the final palette, with some minor tweaks. Anywho, still working on getting the basic shading down...



Not sure if it's improving, to be honest.

I am not sure I understand what you mean.. D'you mean something like (Skurwy's piece, in this topic... clicky ) That? Where I map out the planes before hand? If so, I think I'll redo the shading, starting from there.. I might do that anyways. As of now, I have a rather small update..

Wow. I need to get in on this o.o A nice use of the palette. One thing, I think the red and green when paired together on the wing, stand out quite a bit, whereas it seems that just using green works fine. Just a nit pick, really.

First one in a while... moving my way from the left to the right... not entirely sure how I'm going to shade most of that right side... 12 colors used.. currently. I think I'm probably going to get up to 16. Criticism and advice, are warmly welcomed. I am hoping I will actually.. finish this one. ;D

        I am not entirely sure why you have outlined the character's skin with a dark red in some places, where you've used black in others. I would suggest using either no outlines at all, or stick to a single color ( I would choose black, but that's just preference). Also, while the attack animation is improved, I think you should try and convey more weight in the animation, remember; a large amount of energy is exerted to swing a large hunk of metal in such a fashion, and I think the animation should convey as much. I am looking forward to seeing these little guys(and gals, respectively) progress. Carry on. ;D

well aside from the fact that squid do not possess bones, I think this animation would be more effective at conveying the pain/injury message, with a little bit more of an expression, bulged eyes, perhaps a wee bit of flailing about... Just my Cent and 1/2.

Uhh well I'm not sure my edit actually focuses on what you needed help on but I made a few changed, primarily on the shading.. Just a style suggestion, really.

hmm I also throughly enjoyed the pokemon review. A rather funny take on a game,a game which I never noticed revolved around crack whores and rape. Kudos for posting that Dusty, and even more kudos for the author.
