@ CharlietonI actually really like that square crab design. Develop it further.
@ YmedronNice mutant. Imagine a big crowd of those bouncing towards you, chomping their mouths, tendrils whisping and waving around.
Did you try specular highlights? Like on his lower lip. But more. It tends to help creatures look even more disgusting if their bodies are all snotty and slimey and shiny.
Thanks for the link. That's clever.
@ PPDHaha that was unexpected! An edit in the sketches thread. Cool. Hairy arms and legs!?
Beautiful polishing of her/his/it's toony characteristics. I think you taught me a few things. Thanks so much, man.
@ CyanYour scanner is applying sharpening. Look in the settings.
Well done as always. YOU MAKE ME SIIIIIIICK
Good jorbs, everyone. It's nice to see your guys' work in "real-time".
Everything starts with a sketch. Sketches are paramount. Sketch lots, but only polish the best.
Working on a new char. Can you guess which drawings were done without reference? hehhurrrr
Fetal things are cool, globby, organic things to draw.Mental trick I'm using right now:
Grabbed some nifty small paper scrap from work (a printery) to sketch on.
It's fun to fill up lots of little sheets, rather than draw on a big one. My original thought was to use one per subject/character.
I dunno. Just a mental thing. Try it.
We were talking about tools. This is the crap I use. Nothing too shmancy.
