Pixel Art / Re: Demoscene-ish sprite

I'd shade the rest like the mid fold in the robe. I think the shading on that is awesome. The dithering pattern is really awesome too.

I think robed figures are fine but you seem to be going more robe than figure with this one. I'd add an actual face and some arms. Then maybe when you're done, he could have a fireball or something below him to make a really cool lighting effect on the face.

I agree with Helm also. I hacen't seen a lot of your work but I can judge from this and say I think you're a good shader and could and should do more than just fabric folds and robes.

Pixel Art / Re: OMFG!!! Irish-Ninjas!!

I think that if you really want him to be Irish, giving him an irish flag would be a bit more sufficent than four leaf clovers. XD (I'm Irish by heritage, which explains the stickler-ness).

It's a good start, definately. I think his neck is too wide. It's almost as wide as his head. It looks like you've got a lot of shades of green for just a small sprite. I don't think you'll really need all of them.

Oh, no I'm not a negative person, at all. Most of my posts have been in response to the incident that happened with the project I started and the harassment by someone.

Then this situation in particular, I felt it was uneeded sarcasm that wasn't really funny, just seemed like he was being an ass for the sake of it, that's all.

I don't have an attitude, I've just been provoked lately, that's all.

But anyway, sorry to veer off your thread NG, I just wanted to ask the question but I've changed my mind now.

Well yes I know.. I was just thinking of having more teachers than just Leif but I don't want to get jumped and pounded on again for supposedly "stealing" an idea.

I got a question for you guys.

Say this was made into a forum. Like with Leif and I and you had tasks and quizzes and lessons and stuff like that.. would you join, do you think?

Or.. do you think it would be too much like Pixel Academy was and it'd be "stealing their idea"?

Pixel Art / Re: Hot dog

I think the animation looks fine but the hotdog doesn't really look like a hotdog.

.. kinda looks like a walking twinkie.. no offence. XD That's kind of funny.

Maybe try adding a more protruding hot dog out of the bun (which could be SO wrong if taken in a different context.. XD)?

Heeeelo. :)

I'm Aleiav. :P In real life however, my name is Amanda and I am 17, soon to be 18 and I've been doing graphics on the computer for a bout 3-4 years. I started off as a doller but now consider myself a pixel artist instead. Even though I've been doing it awhile I still consider myself a beginner at pixel art because I spent those 3-4 years in a rut not learning anything. :P But I'm trying my best to learn.

I co-own a pixel art/ dolling forum (WHICH NEEDS MORE PIXEL ARTISTS!!) called Pixel Inc. dedicated to C+C and improvement.

aaand, here's a picture of me!

Ta da!  ;)
