Pixel Art / Re: Mad inventor sprites

I think the walking is very dramatic from the frount. Usually we don't naturally move our shoulders foreward and back so much when we walk.

It's awesome so far but I don't understand why a mad scientist has a dracula-like cape.  ???

baccaman did a great edit. The lightsaber should create ambient light on the character. Whichever color it is should have that affect on the character. It's a really hard concept to grasp (especially even for myself), but I think st0ven has some tuts at spriteart.com that explain ambient lighting on characters.

Overall, it's a good start. :)

Wow, I remember when this first started. It's been awhile since I came back. I think it's amazing so far. Especially the "rift" on the left side. :D

I agree with the monkey comment. He looks mirrored. And no one, human or animal, looks the same on both sides of their face/body. Needs some variation there.

You've got awesome character design and shading, but I feel like there could be a bit more contrast/highlights on the characters.

The title is also awesome but I think it could use some anti-aliasing and highlights.

There's no shading on the top and the bottom of the top is a straight line, which doesn't look very realistic. All in all, it's a great start though. Future animation perhaps?

This looks really awesome. The only qualms I have is that the top part of the robot, the torso, looks a bit pillowshaded. Or maybe that's not the right word but... it looks more 2D than 3D for some reason. Think that there's no differentiation between the bot's "shoulder" so it all looks cohesive. Maybe if you chose a darker shade of pink for the front half of his torso, he might not look so 2D?

What does he have in his hand? ?_?

I think it's not a complicated animation to do and I guess that's a good thing to start with but something more challenging might look interesting and less mediocre.

The shading on the helmet looks odd.

But all in all, it's a cute figure.

I like the Gluttony peice but I think the shading on the hands needs work. I don't really understand the lines going down the arms. And I think it would be cool if he had food surrounding him.

I like the shading on the trees but something about them seems off. Maybe the dark outline? They need a bit of work.

Awesome job so far! I hope you win!

That's awesome. I loved Howl's Moving Castle. I really wanted to pixel it for an iso pixel scene but looking at pictures of the castle made me go : :-\ I had no idea how to even ATTEMPT it without tracing. :P

Awesome job. :D
