Original Character Sen [C+C]

on: October 11, 2013, 04:10:30 am
This is actually an upgrade I did of an older sprite. But I would like to know if its any good and also ways to improve it.

Face is a bit manly, not sure exactly what to suggest off the top of my head but I'd def keep messing around with it.
Maybe its because the hair looks a little bit mullety.
Stance is a bit awkward, I think due to the twisting shown in the torso ending abruptly at the belt rather than following through the hips, legs and knees.
Knees are too spherical for my taste.
Randering makes everything look like puffy rubber. Try not using gradients and highlights on every shape, rather create a discernable light source and work from that, cast shadows where appropriate etc.
Its weird how she has no hips, just a long straight torso then her butt suddenly protudes from the belt. You could check some references here and it would probably suit your style to shorten the torso, bring the belt up and add some smaller bulges for the hips.
