Ninja Game Prototype

on: February 24, 2015, 04:52:27 am
Recently, I decided that I wanted to have a whack at making some pixel art.
I tried a few months back, but it got away from me, so I came back in with a different mindset.

Me and the other guy in my dev team, decided we wanted to make a game with a ninja in it.
He usually does the art for our games, but I said I'd give it a go.  ;D

I made the first run cycle.

And believed it looked a little off, so I changed it a little bit.
Lowered the knees in the 2nd and 5th frames.

Then I tried to put some arm movement into it, but I don't think it is very Ninja-esque

I'm open to some criticism if anyone can give me some, as I know it needs a lot of improvement!
Thanks in advance for any advice.  :y:

My suggestion would be to make the red cloth around the waist look a little lighter, but having it flow up a bit more, and not so much against the legs.

as a typically illustrated ninja run, I probably wouldn't move the arms.
Image size doesn't matter! It's what you do with your pixels that counts!

Sucks that this was moved to animation.
Should have posted more still stuff.

I'll have to post more soon.
Been working really hard on the run animation. (started completely from scratch)
