really nice sprites and tiles
but i have a critique for ya
4 in fact
-Those trees.. I recommend you making its leaves bigger and add more contrast to the trunk. Check some real trees for references :)
-I suppose that rock is wip so...  but I would remove its outlines
-The bananas seems very polygonal, if thats your intention, then its ok lol
-The sign and the hud dont have a lot of wooden texture.

and one overall critique: donīt mix between outlined and without outlines sprites. It won't look ok. Just choose one of those.

the eyes seems very big
i love hiss skin, but try to work on his metal parts

you could add some AA to the red lines, center a little bit the hair under his mouth (doint know the name :S)

i'll tell you a secret :O!
I have a technique to know if something is ok whether or not i'm used to it.
Mirror it (watch it on a mirror if is a drawing or just mirror it if its digital)
your brain will not recognize the image. It will think its a new one and you find a LOT of issues xD not saying that your sprite has them! :)
Try it, youll find it useful :)

lol awesome for being your first pixel art!!

i like it very much, but i recommend you adding some animation frames
i also like the edit, but i understand what do you mean by "robotic movements" if you think its ok, you can start shading it :)

remember that we here don't have any reason to help each other but having a big heart lol or trying to help others the way we like them to help us :)

I like a lot your grass tiles
you can add some "taller grass" tiles. Not toooo tall, but a little bit to nullify repetitiveness... ... or fludd?  :lol:

 if you check the stone carefully you'll find a color that can be recycled. In the right shade part of the stone, there are 2 colors, the lightest one can be replaced by the lightest outline  of the same :) And there's a weird light effect on the stone  ??? it doesn't really fit the texture of a stone  :sigh:

About the girl... Is there a happy face there? I can't really understand it. You can make her hair moving with the wind while walking :). I don't really love that opaque shadow. Other than that and that you could add some clothing details to her... its pretty nice :)

I really like the style  :)

About the animation... if you force your eyes to do so, you can imagine she is running backwards. That's because the animation of her left leg going is the same as her same leg coming. When she moves her left leg towards her front, she should have some space between her feet and the ground

i like the edit labbeled new (?)
I would add to it a bit of contrast to the hair
but use more highlights in it and less on the rest of her body.

Trees dont have the same color of the grass.
Try making it darker and "bluer" or more yellowish.
