How to make this sprites look good on black background without using blue outlines (the way I did on fake screen).

What if  I need to make black leather clothes. What do you do to make it stand out?

well, remember that in real life, there's no such thing as black, so you can just raise the brightness a few percentages on your sprites to have even their darkest darks stand out a bit against the black.
A mistake is a mistake.
The same mistake twice is a bad habit.
The same mistake three or more times is a motif.

Quote originates from russian. There was a funny show where 2 comedians role-played a journalist interviewing a writer. A name of writer's book was "Cyborgs Come", and on every journalist's question he only repeated in funny manner this phrase: "They were cyborgs. They occupied entire planet". I will return english back :)

@Sohei

I get the feeling english ain't your first language my friend?

Are you russian by any chance?

I think Trevorious was saying he LIKED the russian.

I too like it... the cyrillic alphabet has a certain quality to it...

newer one with green hair has much better colors.

you may want to make these a little less noisy.  try to avoid lone pixels of the same color, as they imply bumps or dents far sooner than they imply smooth transitions.

I wasn't intending to say there was anything wrong with russian, just that I found it pity I couldn't understand what it is the sprites are about ;) And indeed, that latest is looking alot smoother with these colours.
