General Discussion / Re: Good platformer games?
« on: October 22, 2010, 08:01:24 pm »
Well man, the best games that are platform are like metroid 3 and the latest castlevanias. Most of the games I would have suggested, were already said by Jackal. On the sega genesis emulator, get Valis 1 and 3. And on the snes one, get Valis 4.

Valis 3.

And almost forgot, on the NES emulator, get Astyanax, Castlevania 3 and all the Contra games, at least the 1st one. And did I mention the Megaman X series on the snes and psx? best stuff ever haha.

I can't... since the commisions are already paid off since last year. This is an older work of mine. Also, it doesn't have that problem since it's cause of the armor thing below the waist. Zoom in on the 1st sheet on the 1st post to see the template, as it doesn't have the "hidden" hand problem. Thanks for pointing it out man.

General Discussion / Re: COLOR PALETTES (updated 10-20-2009)

Bump. Reuploaded the palettes to shareapic, since my site has been down for a while, those of you still interested in downloading the palettes.
Click on the name of the palette to be redirected / download. I might make more palettes, just have to get the time to do so.

By the way, how come no one stick this post? sticky please.

@ Evil Eye: Finally, some time to get back on pixel art haha... I made the gif here, sorry is kinda fast, but that's because I am using unfreez for the first time, and not sure about the numbers of delay... the more numbers I put up, the faster it goes so I left it on zero. I am going to show this one example for now:

EDIT: Fixed it:

EDIT 2: Added each animation cycle separatedly so no one gets confused.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I will attempt to create some gifs, although all of them have the same walk cycle so far... so I might make 4 gifs, hope that helps. :) I will finish the portrait pretty soon hopefully this weekend. I haven't replied to it yet, but I will as soon as I have the edit done. Thanks btw, I seen your stuff, pretty good.

Hi everyone. I haven't been able to be active since I have no internet at home, but I have done some small 1 hour works pixel art here at the public library using these computers.

Can anyone critique me the hair of this face I made? I was trying to do Selene, from the Underworld movies.

And any other tips. I will be working more on this. Can't really do much for now since my time is over for the day and this place will close haha... I will reply on monday hopefully.

This is the reference I used to get idea on the details:

Pixel Art / Re: Stalling out on character design
« on: September 01, 2010, 12:19:51 am »
I was thinking giving her more a touch of nature... say, having her have leaf wings and some branches around her legs or something... a lot of ideas you can get from the Legend of Zelda games, the 3D ones in which there are a lot of those elfish characters that live in the woods / etc. How is the design going on so far? I wanna see your latest update, and I will do an edit or something to improve the design if you haven't completed it.

General Discussion / Re: What's the best way to host your own art site?
« on: August 31, 2010, 11:48:36 am »
@ Kidfrommars: Now that's a nice collection of free hosting sites you shared there. Thanks. I was looking around and studying my options from those free hosting places, but in the end I decided to use my blogspot account. After all, I'm more free in terms and conditions morally than those other places. But that's just my opinion.
