Wolverine: aww, thanks!

BadMrBox: But ... he's so AWESOME! *throws confetti* How can you not love him?

Takai: Faery, fairy, faerie, fairie, fae ... all are right, it's a matter of choice really.

Dogmeat: Actually, Tingle wants to become a faery... which could be intended as a pun or not. *shrug*

hawken: lol, I doubt they'd want it.

Thanks for the last c&c guys, but I'm tired of this piece now and won't do anymore edits. Here's a link to it in the PJ gallery: http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/15279.htm

Finally! I think this may be the final version before I make it all tansparent and submit it to the gallery @ PJ? What do you think?

I added new sparkles, fixed a letter in the banner, changed colours at the ends of the banner, edited small details, etc., etc.

EDIT: I'm done.

AdamAtomic: Yea, great idea! I fixed mostly the second and third shade on the pink ramp, and the second on the grey ramp because I think those needed it the most. Hopefully it's better now?

Helm: I actualy think I liked my version better. The colours look very rough in the colour edit you did. Especially the white.

I've added/changed details here and there all over the piece now. I also did away with the sparkles (because I think they looked horrible in colours), and added a banner instead. What say you?

Thank you Helm! I've been waiting for the day you would say I was using a sensible colour count, haha! I've been practising colour conservation as you suggested for my Lotiki piece.

This was done with GG actually. That's what I normally use to do pixelart, and PhotoShop to make it transparent later. But I wanted the colours lined up nicely together so that's why I made a small palette there. I am also using a palette in the picture because I have a very small screen (I am working from a laptop that I am using here in England where I am now) and the prewiev window overlaps the palette in GG. Might be nice to look at for people who wants to crit my colour use etc. as well.

Oh yes, sorry. I forgot to write that I didn't colour the confetti because I wasn't sure if I'd keep it. And it isn't only Tingle in this picture. They are: David Jr. (white/gray), Ankle (pink), Tingle (green), and Knuckle (blue).

References I used:

Tingle game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mogitate_Tingle_no_Barairo_Rupee_Land

The grey one (David Jr.) should look troubled, that was what I was aiming for with the eyebrows. He probably is very troubled, because he's not even a Tingle brother lol.

GA: what flashdrvnk said. But it's also good so that you know how many colours you've used etc. I tried to not go over 24 colours with his one.

Xion Night: I think it'd be a bit too much for me to animate him doing that. I might animate David Jr. jumping, the confetti sparkling, and the others striking their poses or something though. If I'm not too lazy.

I loveded these characters from The Legend of Zelda series. Awesome character designs, hehe. So I had to pixel them. They're my favourites next to Link and Ezlo after all. It's 23 colours + transparency (added when finished).

I need some overall C&C obviously, and also some advice to if I should add a white outline and if I should keep the sparkles/konfetti. Hope ya'all like!

In the discription of this in the News at PJ it also says "no animations", but it doesn't in these rules. So... can we use animations?

Selout means selective outlining, i.e. replacing the black outlines on some places with a lighter tone, look at Toby's version for an example. That's some good selout. Look at how he's kept the black otlines where shadows fall, and replaced it with a blue colour where the light hits the figure. That makes the outlines blend in more with the rest of the piece.

Also, I really think you improved alot from the old version to the new. The front paws look a little bit odd though, almost as if it is standing on it's toes or as if they're swollen. Try making in flatter with a pixel or so, or making them longer.

Thanks Lawrence! I really like yours as well. The lightsetting and animation is top notch.

There are really alot of good fad avatars collected here. They're pretty impressive and that's why I was so inspired as to do one myself. To see if I could keep the standard, haha.
