Just a simple portrait for a blog icon. :D I think I've been looking at it too long, it's become difficult to find the errors (and I know it's full of 'em.)
My pretty face for reference:
http://i45.tinypic.com/2mi5b80.jpgMy biggest issue right now is trying to get the very slight smile to read as one. Right now it looks like I'm grumpy, or concerned. I'm considering taking a new photo with a more exaggerated expression and starting over if I can't get this right.
Intended to be viewed at 2x, by the way.
Edit: Decided to just bump it to 100x100, instead of scaling up the 50x50. Ordinarily I'd be nervous about working on a piece of this size given my current skill level, but I figured it was time to raise my expectations and maybe learn something. :)
(there's still a lot of doublepixels going on- haven't refined much besides the nose and eyes yet)
