(Pre-warning, I'm not actually learned on composition, this is all stuff I picked up on my own and through eyeballing stuff)
Composition-ways, the piece feels a bit empty. There's a lot of blank space on the left and right, and there's not a whole lot to guide the eye around the picture.
The bird looks a bit on the smaller side, I woulda made it a bit larger and put it in profile so the wings would lead the line back to her face and the tail-feathers to the hand to create a sort of triangular "flow" between her head, body, and the bird.
That blank space in the left might be helped by something like bird silhouettes or clouds, perhaps, and the right side might be helped along by a cloud. I'd reccomend against buildings or trees personally though, since I think it would conflict with the image in a way I can't really put into words well enough.
The palette here I think is actually pretty good though, it gives it a nice pastel sorta look that sells the surreality of the picture a bit more than a more realistic one might.
