You’ve been gliding through the sky in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, maybe for hours, spotting those green-glowing chests and wondering if they’re actually worth the effort. Let's be real. Combat in this game is chaotic. Having a small army of spectral friends helps, but sometimes their damage feels... well, underwhelming. That’s where the totk sage's will locations come in.
There are 20 of these items total. They are tucked away exclusively in the Sky Islands. No, you won't find a single one on the surface or in the Depths. Trust me, I've checked every dark corner. If you want your Sages to actually pull their weight in a fight against a Lynel or a Gleeok, you need these. Each set of four allows you to "strengthen the bond" at a Goddess Statue, essentially giving that specific Sage a permanent attack boost.
Where to Find Every Sage's Will
The hunt is mostly a test of your battery capacity and your willingness to fight King Gleeoks. Seriously, some of these are guarded by the nastiest things in the sky. If you haven't upgraded your armor, maybe do that first.

The Hebra Sky Regions
Hebra is cold and miserable, but it’s home to three wills. The first is in the West Hebra Sky Archipelago (-4470, 2169, 1253). You’re going to have to kill a King Gleeok here. It’s a brutal fight on a small platform.
Next, head to the South Hebra Sky Archipelago (-3075, 2150, 0648). This one is way easier—just a chest sitting in some ruins. Then there’s the North Tabantha Sky Archipelago (-3780, 1572, 1237). You’ll see a series of islands with rails. You need to ride the rails to the westernmost island to grab the chest.
Central Hyrule and Gerudo Sky
The West Hyrule Sky Archipelago (-2296, -0414, 0894) features a Flux Construct III. You don’t strictly have to kill it. You can actually use Ultrahand to yank the chest off its shoulder, grab the loot, and paraglide away like a thief in the night.
Down in the Gerudo Sky, things get vertical.
- Starview Island (-3459, -0271, 1937): This is inside that giant, hollowed-out globe. You have to solve a light-and-mirror puzzle. Honestly, it’s one of the cooler puzzles in the sky.
- Southwest Gerudo (-4447, -2730, 1419): Another King Gleeok. Sorry.
- East Gerudo Sky Archipelago (-1958, -1811, 1140): Another Flux Construct III. Use the same "grab and run" tactic if you're low on weapons.
The Faron and Necluda Clusters
Faron is usually a thunderstorm nightmare. For the Faron Sky Archipelago (-0332, -2586, 0894), you’re looking for a Flux Construct III.
In the Thunderhead Isles, which is basically a giant obstacle course, you’ll find two. One is at (0966, -3306, 0846) inside a breakable stone ceiling. The other is on Dragonhead Island (1309, -3210, 0459). Both are way easier to get after you clear the storm clouds during the main quest line.
Moving east to South Necluda (2556, -3600, 0894) and Eventide Isle Sky (4652, -3827, 1065), you’ll find—you guessed it—more Flux Constructs and another King Gleeok. It’s a pattern. Nintendo wants you to work for these.

The Tricky Orbs of Lanayru and Eldin
Lanayru and Eldin have some of the most annoying totk sage's will locations because they involve those giant rotating spheres.
Lanayru Sky Archipelago
There’s one in the North Lanayru Sky Archipelago (2911, 0525, 0929) inside a sphere. You have to rotate the opening to the bottom to drop inside. There’s another one further south (3015, -0257, 0894) on a Flux Construct III island. Don't forget the one near the Water Temple (3383, 0638, 1290). It’s held by a Flux Construct II right near the Igoshon Shrine.
Eldin’s High Peaks
Up in the Eldin Sky Archipelago (1768, 2268, 0827), look for a solitary island. It’s a bit of a flight from the main clusters. There’s also the South Eldin Sky Archipelago (1781, 0981, 1226). This one is hidden. You have to drop to a lower level of the island and burn away some vines to find the chest tucked in a small alcove.
Does Strengthening the Bond Actually Matter?
This is where the community gets divided. If you expect Tulin to suddenly one-shot a Silver Lynel, you’re going to be disappointed.
Basically, the Sage's Will increases their base attack power by about 1.3x.
It doesn't affect their ability cooldowns. It doesn't make Sidon's shield last longer or Riju's lightning circle expand faster. It just makes their "auto-attacks" hit harder.
Is it worth it?
If you play with all the Sages active, that extra damage adds up over a long fight. Tulin is the priority. He headshots enemies constantly. Boosting his damage is a no-brainer. After that, maybe Yunobo, since he’s basically a walking wrecking ball.
Strategy for Fast Collection
Don't just wander. You'll run out of stamina and patience.
- Zonai Devices are King: Build a Hover Bike (two fans and a steering stick). It’s the most efficient way to hop between these distant islands.
- Sensor+ is a lifesaver: Set your Sheikah Sensor to "Treasure Chest." Since all Sage’s Wills are in chests, this will beep the moment you land on the right island.
- The Ultrahand Cheat: For Flux Constructs, don't fight them if you don't want to. Aim your Ultrahand at the chest on their shoulder or leg. Wiggle the right stick to detach it. The Construct will fall apart for a second, giving you time to open the chest and warp away.
Getting all 20 totk sage's will locations is a grind, no doubt about it. But if you’re a completionist or you just want your ghost-posse to be as lethal as possible, it’s the only way to go.
Start with the ones guarded by Flux Constructs. They’re much faster to "cheese" than the King Gleeoks. Save the Gleeoks for when you have plenty of Keese Eyeballs and a multi-shot bow.
To make the most of your upgrades, head to the Goddess Statue in Lookout Landing or the Temple of Time once you've grabbed your first four. Select "Strengthen the bond with a sage" and pick Tulin first. You won't regret it when he starts sniping enemies off cliffs with more force.
