Usually, by now, we’d be knee-deep in Blind Auditions, but the 2026 schedule for The Voice is doing things a little differently this year. Honestly, if you’re looking for the show right now, you’re just a few weeks early.
The Voice USA is officially returning to NBC on Monday, February 23, 2026.
This isn't just another standard season, though. NBC is calling this one The Voice: Battle of Champions, and they’ve shifted the timing to align with what they’re calling "Legendary February." Basically, they wanted to wait until the Super Bowl dust settled and the NBA mid-season energy kicked in to launch their biggest experimental format in years.
The Weird New Schedule You Need to Know
If you've been a fan since season one, the 2026 rollout is going to feel kinda chaotic at first. Instead of the slow burn we usually get, NBC is hit-the-gas aggressive for the premiere week.
The season kicks off at 9:00 PM ET on Monday, Feb 23. But don’t get too comfortable with that Monday-only routine. To make up for the late start, the network is dropping three massive two-hour episodes in the first week alone. You'll get the premiere on Monday, another block on Wednesday (Feb 25), and a third on Thursday (Feb 26).

It’s a lot of singing for one week.
After that opening blitz, the show settles into its regular home on Monday nights at 9:00 PM ET. There's been a lot of chatter about Tuesday nights, too. Because of the NBA's return to NBC, those Tuesday episodes—which used to be a staple—are going to be hit-or-miss. For the most part, you should expect the show to be a Monday-night-only affair until we hit the Live Shows in May.
Who is actually in the chairs?
The coaching lineup is the real reason everyone is buzzing about when The Voice USA is on. They’ve gone for a "winners only" panel. It’s a bit of a flex, honestly.
- Adam Levine: The original bad boy of the red chairs is finally back after a massive hiatus. People have been begging for this since he left in season 16.
- Kelly Clarkson: She’s pulling double duty, filming her talk show and The Voice at the same time. Expect a lot of caffeine and high energy.

Why the "Battle of Champions" tag matters

First, there’s this "Triple Turn Competition." The coach who manages to win over the most three-chair turns during the Blinds gets a "Super Steal" later in the season. Think of it like a Golden Bzzz in other shows, but more aggressive. It actually allows a coach to override another coach’s steal.
Then there’s the "In-Season All-Star" thing. During the Knockouts, the coaches are bringing back fan-favorites from previous seasons to compete in one-off battles. It’s basically a way to see your old favorites again without them having to commit to an entire season. CeeLo Green is reportedly coming back just to guest-judge those specific matches.
Where to watch (and how to skip commercials)
If you’re a cord-cutter, the "when" is slightly different for you. While the live broadcast happens on NBC, the streaming side belongs to Peacock.

If you have Peacock Premium Plus, you can technically watch the NBC feed live, but for most people, Tuesday morning is when the "Monday" episode actually becomes available. It’s actually a better way to watch if you can’t stand the 15-minute chunks of commercials that plague the live broadcast.

Since we still have a few weeks until that February 23 premiere, there are a few things you can do to get ready:
- Check your DVR: If you still use one, make sure it's set for 9:00 PM, not 8:00 PM. The time slot shift has already messed up a few people's schedules.
- Rewatch Season 28: If you missed the finale in December 2025 where Aiden Ross took the trophy, catch up on Peacock now so the "Battle of Champions" context makes sense.
- Follow the "Leaked" Auditions: NBC usually starts dropping "The First Look" videos about ten days before the premiere. Keep an eye on their YouTube channel around February 13.
The return of Adam Levine alongside Kelly and John is likely to make this the highest-rated season in years.
