So, you’re diving back into Rhulk’s old stomping grounds. The Sundered Doctrine dungeon, tucked away in the shadows of Savathûn’s Throne World, is honestly one of the more rewarding additions to Destiny 2 we’ve seen in a minute. It’s part of Episode Heresy, and if you’ve spent any time inside that Pyramid Ship recently, you know it’s basically a loot pinata—if you know which encounter to farm.
The community has been buzzing about this loot table since February 2025. Some people think you can just blindly run the dungeon and get everything. You can't. Bungie still loves their specific drop pools, and if you're chasing that one specific Hand Cannon roll, you've gotta be smart about where you spend your time.
Breaking Down the Sundered Doctrine Loot Table
The loot isn't just a random mess. Each of the three main encounters has a specific set of gear it can drop. If you’re looking for the Finality’s Auger Exotic, don't expect it from a random chest mid-way through. That’s a boss-only treat.
Encounter 1: Solve the Riddle
This is that first major puzzle-fight in the Flooded Inspection area. It’s heavy on mechanics but relatively light on the loot pool, which is actually great for farming.
You're mainly looking at two legendary weapons here: the Unloved Hand Cannon and the Unsworn Trace Rifle. On the armor side, you can pull the Flain Helmet, Arms, or Legs. Honestly, the Hand Cannon is the star here. It’s a Strand Heavy Burst frame (257 RPM), and it feels incredibly beefy in PvE. If you get a roll with Hatchling or Frenzy, keep it. Don't even think about dismantling it.
Encounter 2: Zoetic Lockset
The middle encounter is a bit of a chaotic wave-defense scenario. It’s fun, but it can get sweaty if your fireteam isn't on the same page with the lock mechanics.
The loot pool expands slightly here. You can still get the Unworthy Scout Rifle (which also drops elsewhere, more on that in a second) and the Unsworn Trace Rifle. Armor drops include the Helmet, Arms, and Legs again. It's basically the "utility" encounter for filling out those armor slots or hunting the Trace Rifle.
Encounter 3: Kerrev, the Erased
This is the big one. The final boss. Kerrev is a nightmare of Dread and Hive mechanics, but the rewards are top-tier.

Finality’s Auger lives here. It’s a Solar Exotic Linear Fusion Rifle that literally lets you fire out a turret. It costs 3 ammo, but having a Ruinscribe Turret painting targets for you is a game-changer for solo players.
The legendary pool here is the most diverse. You can get:
- Unloved (Hand Cannon)
- Unvoiced (Void Shotgun)
- Unworthy (Arc Scout Rifle)
- The Flain Chest piece (Exclusive to this encounter!)
- The rest of the Flain armor set
The God Rolls You Actually Want
Most people just look for any purple drop. You shouldn't. The Subjugation origin trait on these weapons is wild. It makes your shots explode against weak targets and exhausts the big guys. Exhausted enemies deal less damage back to you, which is huge in Grandmasters.
Unloved (Hand Cannon): For PvE, look for Dragonfly and Frenzy. If you're running a Strand build, Hatchling is the play. For PvP, you want Rapid Hit and Kill Clip. It’s a heavy burst, so that stability from Rapid Hit is mandatory.
Unsworn (Trace Rifle): This is an Adaptive Strand Trace. It's weirdly good. Look for Enlightened Action and Target Lock. It turns into a laser beam that just melts yellow bars.
Unvoiced (Shotgun): A Pinpoint Slug frame in the Void slot. If you can land Reconstruction and Precision Instrument, you have a boss-DPS monster.
Farming Tips Nobody Tells You
You can farm the legendaries. Yes, as many times as you want.
But here is the catch: Finality’s Auger is once per character, per week. Don't waste your Saturday grinding the boss for the Exotic if you've already cleared it on that character. It won't drop.

If you're high enough level, run it on Master. The Artifice armor versions of the Flain set drop there. That extra mod slot is worth the headache of dealing with the increased champion density and the annoying modifiers.
Also, don't forget The Drowning Labyrinth quest from Ikora. You need this to even enter, and finishing the related hidden objectives (finding those creepy worms) is the only way to get the Class Item to drop reliably and to unlock loot focusing at the end of the run.
Actionable Next Steps
- Check your quest log: Make sure you actually have The Drowning Labyrinth active before you start.
- Focus your farm: If you only want the Hand Cannon, stop after the first encounter and reset. It’s faster.
- Equip Strand or Stasis: The final boss, Kerrev, has some annoying shields and movement patterns. Slowing him down makes the DPS phase much more manageable.
- Save your spoils: Once you finish the quest line, you can focus specific weapons at the final chest. Use this to hunt those 5/5 God Rolls instead of relying purely on RNG.
