Stellar Blade Passcode Specialist: Why Most Players Get Stuck

Stellar Blade Passcode Specialist: Why Most Players Get Stuck

You’re wandering through the southwestern corner of the Wasteland, minding your own business, when you stumble upon a massive, rusted shipwreck. Inside, there's a terminal. It wants a code. No numbers, just a string of weird Greek symbols that look like math homework.

This is the Recruit Passcode Specialists quest, and honestly, it’s one of the most tedious scavenger hunts in all of Stellar Blade.

The game basically tells you to "go find some followers" and hope for the best. If you're like me, you probably tried to brute-force the keypad for ten minutes before realizing the clues aren't even in the same map region. It's a massive pain. But the reward—the La Vie en Rose Nano Suit—is widely considered one of Eve’s best outfits, so you sort of have to do it.

The Secret Behind the Symbols

Most people think they can just find the code online and punch it in. You can’t.

Well, you can know the code, but the terminal won’t actually let you interact with it properly until you’ve physically interacted with the shrines scattered across the world. These shrines contain the Chapter of Trial documents. There are six in total that you need to find before the shipwreck container will even consider opening for you.

Each document title ends with a Greek letter. When you line them up in order from Chapter 1 to Chapter 6, that's your passcode. It's not a puzzle as much as it is a multi-map pilgrimage.

Where to Find the Chapter of Trial Shrines

You’ve got to visit three distinct regions. If you haven't finished the Matrix 11 story arc yet, you can't finish this quest. Period.

  • Matrix 11 (Chapter 1 - β): This is the one everyone misses because it's tucked away in the Rail Yard. Specifically, it's in the survivor's hideout (the place with all the candles and "prayers"). If you missed it during the main story, you have to fast-travel back and trek through the sewers again. It's on the second floor of the hideout.
  • Great Desert (Chapter 2 - θ): Head to the northeast ruins. Look for a dilapidated two-story building. The shrine is just sitting there on the upper floor, soaking in the sun.
  • Great Desert (Chapter 3 - α): This one is south of the Buried Ruins. Look for a collapsed overpass. There’s a small building nearby with a hole in the wall; the shrine is tucked inside a little nook.
  • Great Desert (Chapter 4 - λ): This is the "fun" one. You have to go through the Hypertube mini-game on the west side of the desert. Once you're spat out into the water-filled cavern at the end, don't just leave. Turn right immediately. The shrine is on a small ledge right there.
  • Wasteland (Chapter 5 - δ): Back to the Wasteland. Go to the Western Great Canyon supply camp. Just a short walk northeast, there's a narrow crevice in the rock face. It’s easy to walk right past it if you aren't scanning like a maniac.
  • Wasteland (Chapter 6 - ζ): Near the Altess Levoire entrance. Follow the path leading north from the elevator area. There’s another rocky alcove here hiding the final prayer.

How to Input the Passcode

Once you have all six, head back to that shipwreck in the southwest Wasteland. The terminal will now be active.

The sequence is always the same: β - θ - α - λ - δ - ζ.

(That’s Beta, Theta, Alpha, Lambda, Delta, Zeta for the non-Greeks among us.)

Inside the container, you’ll find a red crate. Opening it gives you the La Vie en Rose outfit and the final document, Chapter of Salvation 0-Ω. You still need to go back to a Bulletin Board in Xion to actually "hand in" the quest and get your gold and Vitcoins.

What Most People Get Wrong

The biggest frustration? The quest appears on the Xion bulletin board way before you can actually finish it. You might pick up Chapter 5 or 6 in the Wasteland early on, see the quest, and then spend hours looking for the other shrines in the same area.

They aren't there.

You literally cannot finish Recruit Passcode Specialists until you’ve unlocked the Great Desert region, which happens much later in the game. If you're missing a symbol, check your Data Bank under "Documents" and then "Prayers." If Chapter 1 is missing, you're going back to the sewers. Sorry.

Another thing—the reward is a recolor. The La Vie en Rose suit is a red and white version of the Black Rose suit. Some players find that disappointing after all the legwork, but the completionist in me says it's worth it for the 100% trophy/achievement progress.

Actionable Next Steps

  1. Check your Data Bank: Open the menu, go to Documents, and scroll to "Prayers." Note exactly which Chapter numbers are missing.
  2. Go to Matrix 11 first: If you don't have Chapter 1, fast travel to the Rail Yard. It's the biggest backtrack, so get it out of the way.
  3. Use the Scanner: When you're in the general area of the shrines, spam the pulse scan (Touchpad). The shrines glow green and are much easier to spot through walls.
  4. Clear the Hypertube: Don't attempt Chapter 4 until you're comfortable with the sliding mechanics; hitting an obstacle usually means restarting the whole slide.
