Honestly, playing Kessel Sabacc in Star Wars Outlaws is a blast until you realize the house always has a better hand. You're sitting there with an Imposter card, praying the dice roll your way, and then—clunk. You lose 500 credits. It’s brutal. But there’s a fix for that, and it’s a tiny piece of tech called the LC3 Skifter.
This isn't just some random scrap you find in a dumpster. It's a "Key Part." You need this specific item to unlock the Magnetic Dice ability from Teeka the Hotfixer. If you’ve ever felt like the dice were rigged against you, this is how you rig them back in your favor.
Where the Heck is the LC3 Skifter?
You’ll find this thing on Tatooine. Specifically, it’s tucked away in a spot called the Cliffside Hideout.
To get there, you need to head southeast of the South Jundland Wastes. It’s right on the edge of Hutt territory, which means you’ll probably run into some grumpy guards if your reputation with Jabba isn't great. Look for a small outpost. Most people think the treasure is inside the outpost itself, but it’s actually behind it.
Getting Past the Gatekeepers
Don't just run in guns blazing unless you want a very short trip. There are three automated turrets guarding the final room, and they will absolutely melt Kay if you give them a chance.

- First, find the breakable rock wall near the back of the Hutt outpost. You'll need the Power Module for your blaster to crack it open.
- Use your grappling hook to climb up the structure. There’s a bit of platforming involved here—standard Kay Vess stuff—until you reach a metal ledge that leads to the top.
- Now for the turrets. They’re synchronized. If one hits you, they all hit you.
I’ve found the best way to handle them is to use the Ion Module on your blaster. Zap a turret to disable it temporarily, then look for the yellow power generators. There are three of them. One is hidden behind a breakable wall to the right, one is to the left, and the last one is tucked behind a rock right near the door.
Once those generators are toast, the turrets go dark. You can then use your data spike to hack the door and grab the LC3 Skifter from the large container inside.
Why You Actually Need Magnetic Dice
You might be thinking, "Is it worth the trek across the desert?" Yes. Absolutely.
The Magnetic Dice ability allows you to "nudge" the dice during the throwing phase. When you’re using an Imposter card—which usually relies on pure luck to match your hand—the LC3 Skifter basically lets you choose the outcome. It turns a "maybe I'll win" hand into a "I definitely just took all your credits" hand.

To fully unlock the ability, you'll need more than just the part, though. You also need:
- The LC3 Skifter (the hard part).
- 15x Slivian Iron.
- 6x Direct-Energy Circuits.
Once you have the loot, head into your Abilities menu under The Hotfixer (Teeka) and craft it.
Cheat Like a True Scoundrel
The game doesn't just give you the win for free. When you’re at the Sabacc table, you have to trigger the cheat. A little prompt will pop up during the dice throw. You’ll have to complete a small minigame—sort of a timing challenge—to successfully use the magnet.
If you mess up, people might notice. But if you nail it? You can turn a pair of 6s into a pair of 1s in a heartbeat. It makes the high-stakes games in locations like the Kijimi City or the more elite tables on Canto Bight way less stressful.

Getting the Most Out of the Part
Don't just grab the LC3 Skifter and leave. That room in the Cliffside Hideout is loaded. There are usually a few hundred credits and some high-tier crafting materials scattered around the crates. Since you've already done the hard work of disabling the turrets, you might as well strip the place clean.
Also, keep in mind that Teeka won't even show up as an Expert until you finish the "The Hotfixer" quest on Tatooine. If you haven't met the Jawa yet, the LC3 Skifter will just sit in your inventory as "Intel" until you've officially unlocked his skill tree.
Next Steps for Your Loadout:
Once you’ve secured the LC3 Skifter and unlocked the dice, your next move should be hunting down the Smoke Bomb Compressor on Toshara. Between cheating at cards and having a better way to vanish from a fight, Kay becomes almost untouchable. Check your Intel log for the "Fallen Mound" lead to get started on that one.
